About Us

Max Kuma Community Development Foundation (MKCDF) was founded in response to the humanitarian crisis caused by the armed conflict in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon. The organisation provides essential support and advocacy for refugees and vulnerable populations in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. The influx of Cameroonian refugees in Nigeria seeking safety and stability prompted the establishment of MKCDF, which has since become a beacon of hope and resilience for those affected by the conflict. Before it’s registration in 2023, MKCDF started operating as a community-based initiative in Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria in 2021. Since its inception, MKCDF has touched the lives of hundreds of individuals while providing critical support and creating pathways to a brighter future. Our holistic approach includes psycho-social support and knowledge in marketing in addition to our different skill acquisition programs. This is to ensure that refugees and vulnerable populations receive not only the immediate aid but also the long-term support necessary for sustainable development. Our training programs focus on training on useful and marketable skills while promoting awareness of the advantages of consuming home-made products. Among others we carry out programs that help to mitigate climate change and promote women empowerment.
